Listen everyone go into applock settings and uncheck enable app lock. Then it will stay on after re-boot..Must say disabled. A minor flaw Samsung Epic

Bypassed by rebooting phone. Needs option to never ask for password more often than 1 min (etc.) even across apps. Prefer sliding lock pattern.
