Onkyo’s Remote App allows owners to integrate wireless audio stored on an Android device into their Onkyo home network system. The app operates over a wireless LAN and enables a range of remote control functions, such as volume and tone control and input selection.

Functions:
• Wirelessly streams music stored on an Android device
• Operates general remote-control functions (e.g. play, stop, power on/off)
• Controls multi-zone audio
• Selects input source, network source, and radio station
• Adjusts tone control, listening modes, and speaker volume
• Displays content information
• Compatible with Spotify (US and EU market only)• Compatible with Onkyo’s existing RI (Remote Interactive) system**For details on RI-compatible systems, please refer to the Onkyo website.• This application program does not support tablet devices.
• This application program does not support smartphones in QVGA or HVGA resolution.

Compatible Onkyo Models:
• All network A/V receivers released in 2010/11, TX-8050 Network Stereo Receiver, and T-4070 Network Stereo Tuner*
*All models may require a firmware update available for download at the Onkyo website.

Could be more intuitive, but... ...fully deserves 5 stars for the depth of functionality and the way that it adds value to Onkyo's already excellent products. Highly recommended - especially for an enhanced Net experience.

Great remote for my TX-NR809 This remote control app for my receiver is fantastic. I can control nearly of all of my receiver's functions from it, including the iPod and internet based radio stations such as vtuner, slacker radio, Pandora, etc.

Doesn't fit phone screen I can't reach some of the buttons because they are off screen. Other features work great.

No longer works The app has stopped working in both my gs3 and my husbands droid x. Wifi is up and running so that is not the problem. App is not finding our receiver. Please fix asap, we use this app all the time.

Would be a simple fix... Since my wireless network is on a different subnet from my wired, the app can't find the reciever. I see people have been asking for a simple manual entry for an ip adress for a long time. Too bad Onkyo isn't interested in a fix that would help a lot of people.

Was excellent..not so much now Ever since the ICS upgrade the display has been shifted to the right making it unusable.

Could be so much better. I like this app for controlling basic functions of my receiver, but there are problems. When using it to stream music there is no way to create playlists or even queue music. So all you can do is select one song or album at a time (assuming you organize your music like most people do music/artist/album). The volume control is very glitchy. Be prepared to blow your eardrums when it jumps from 20 to 80 at the slightest touch. I hope Onkyo continues to improve this app. It has great potential.
