PowerTutor

PowerTutor is a diagnostic tool for analyzing system and app power usage.

The app runs on most Android phones though is designed to give accurate numbers on the G1, G2, and Nexus One phones.  It runs in the background and logs data on power utilization for each app. The info is summarized in an intuitive user interface.

Recent changes:
Added Uid, Package Name(s), and OLED Score listings in Stat View.
Improved foreground app detection.
Fixed bug in writing logs to SDcard.
Logging and sending logs now happend simultaneously.
Fixed issue on systems collecting OLED information.
Fixed force close some were having switching to airplane mode and sending logs.

Works, but ironically displays itself as the largest power consuming app. Htc desire 2.2

Sometimes gets odd ideas about what's consuming power due to system limitations, but overall VERY helpful in diagnostics. Desire 2.2 w/root.

Great app. Very detailed info on what's eating the battery. only gripe I have is that it is slow to respond to user commands. T-mo Mytouch 3G by HTC.
