SMS Popup provides a convenient popup dialog when a message is received that allows you to quickly read and reply to messages. It also provides in-depth customization of message notifications including contact specific sound, vibrate and LED settings.

NOTE: SMS Popup does mark message as "read" - if the notification tray icon does not disappear, make sure you disable the system messaging app notifications and use SMS Popup's notifications instead. Please see FAQ for more information.

Full feature list:
-convenient popup window on incoming message
-quickly reply, delete or close the message
-built-in "quick reply" for even faster messaging directly from popup window
-have your messages read to you using text-to-speech
-reply to messages using the system voice recognition
-customize notifications including sound, vibrate pattern, LED color (if available) and notification icon
-also customize notifications for individual contacts
-setup notification reminders (repeating notifications if you miss the first one)
-optional privacy mode to hide sender name and message contents

Simple but effective This app is a great add on to the default sms app. Although if I use the quick reply, the unread mark in the sms app doesn't go away immediately. Please fix. Thanks!

I used I used to like this app but lately i did noticed some bug, when im receiving multiple messages. And i press close on a certain message it pops op again and again plzz fix and i keep receiving unknown message, 5 stars still coz i can't find any replacement for this nice app

Deletes messages I love the app but if I don't reply and hit the close button it randomly deletes my message.

Not as perfect as I first thought... Like some of the previous commenters, I run stock ICS and am thrilled to see the Holo theme! Bravo, devs! If you don't have this app, you need it. Period. Update: I spent a long time being unable to get regular SMS and MMS (NOT iMessage, which I know Androids can't get) photo and video messages from iPhones before finally realizing that it was due to this app. I absolutely loved it but can't use it bc of that issue. Why not?

Great app, one issue Great app, but dear god is there a way to not go to the bottom of list when a new message comes in? If I'm reading a text, and a new one comes in regardless of who it's from, it drops me to bottom of list and I have to scroll back to where I was. If you get a lot of texts, this is very annoying. If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know.
