Sky Apps Hacked By Syrian Electronic Army – BSkyB: 'Android Apps Were Hacked And Replaced'
Syrian Electronic Army, a hacking group responsible for several visible attacks in the last few weeks, has evidently taken control of BSkyB's Sky apps in the Play Store, replacing the promo header with SEA's logo, and replacing app descriptions with "Syrian Electronic Army Was Here." In a tweet earlier, BSkyB warned its users to uninstall all Sky apps, as they "were hacked and replaced." Indeed, BSkyB's apk files were replaced by the hacking group. UPDATE: All Sky's Android a...

Exclusive: Press Photos Of The White Nexus 4 (LG E960W) Leak Out
As we already know, the white Nexus 4 is very much real. Months after first showing up on the web, it re-appeared at Google I/O in all its glory, with June 10th tipped as a possible launch date by AndroidAndMe's co-founder Taylor Wimberly. Alongside it, according to Taylor, Android 4.3 would be unveiled as well. While I can't confirm the date (even if the information was correct at the time of I/O, plans can change for any reason), what I can show you today are some of the press photos of the...

[New App] Pebble Phone Ringer Switcher Is The First Of Many Wrist-Mounted Android Widgets
The Pebble Smartwatch's utility was somewhat limited when it launched, thanks to an API that only supported notifications and data going from your phone to the watch, not the other way around. The last update to the API fixed that, and now Pebble has at least some degree of control over a connected phone. Pebble Phone Ringer Switcher from noted developer Faruq Rasid is the first Pebble app we've seen take advantage of this, at least on the Play Store. It's a simple little watch app that allow...

Frequent smartphone tipster @evleaks posted a tip earlier today indicating Verizon will be getting the Kyocera Hydro Elite added to their portfolio in June. New version of HTC One to launch with a larger screen
The latest round of rumors from the HTC camp are saying that a newer HTC One may be launching soon. The catch? It’ll have a larger screen, supposedly between 5 and 6 inches. Google To Cease Payment To Argentine Developers, Pull Apps Due To Economic, Governmental Issues
Google, citing "ongoing challenges," will be ending the distribution of paid apps from Argentina in the Play Store effective June 27th, "at which point the apps will be unpublished." Google's official statement on the issue (published on its Developer Support site) doesn't go into too much detail regarding the "ongoing challenges" involved in distributing paid apps from Argentina, and an email sent to developers (reported by Celularis) doesn't offer any more information, though both suggest...

Google Services Bug Causing Location Issues For HTC Owners, Google Working On A Fix
Sometimes, updates break things. That seems to be the case for some HTC owners who, upon receiving a silent update to the newest version of Google Play Services, are having trouble using apps that rely on location data. According to HTC phone users in this support thread, Google Now continually asks to turn Location Services on, location-dependent applications like Foursquare and WeatherBug don't function properly, and Maps is unable to lock onto a location. [Hands-On] Initial Impressions Of The Sony Xperia Tablet Z
Sony's first attempt at making Android slates was less than a rousing success. Not one to be discouraged, Sony is back with a new Android-powered tablet called the Xperia Tablet Z. This is the big brother of the Xperia Z flagship smartphone. I've spent a little time with the Tablet Z and I have some thoughts in advance of the full review. Hardware: Swoon The device is surprisingly thin and light. Yes, I know what the spec sheet says, but it's different when you get it in your hands. Just kno...
